City of Dover issued the following announcement on March 23.

Community Services’ annual street sweeping operations are now underway and expected to continue through early June.

Current work is focused on cleaning sidewalks with blowers and brooms. Crews will begin sweeping the streets Monday, April 4, weather permitting. Downtown streets are scheduled to be cleaned first before moving to the rest of the city.

Sweeping operations will require temporary parking bans to allow crews to clear the street; advanced notice will be provided through signage, email and social media. To sign up for these and other alerts, add “Dover Alert: public safety alerts and special announcements” to your current email subscription list here: https://bit.ly/dovernewsletters.

Sweeping occurs Monday through Friday, beginning at 3 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
