The City Council will get an update on the public supply system at a workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, before the Council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Representatives from Underwood Engineers, a city consultant, will review recent and future water system upgrades. Current projects such as the Pudding Hill Water Treatment Plant, the new one million-gallon water storage tank off Webb Place and associated Smith Well Road water main upgrades, and the Portsmouth-Dover Emergency Interconnection. Future planned projects include the Garrison Hill water tank rehabilitation and French Cross Water Treatment Plant upgrades.

Consultants from Emery & Garrett Groundwater Investigations will review ongoing aquifer status, drought resiliency, water quality monitoring, and potential future supply sources.
