Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 18.

Join Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Associates for a free virtual community lecture during Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. Multiple Sclerosis, A Modern Management Approach will be held virtually on Wednesday, March 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Attendees will learn more about Multiple Sclerosis (MS), why it is often called the “snowflake disease,” the latest medical treatment, rehabilitation,  wellness strategies, independence, and general MS management. This informative virtual event will be presented by fellowship-trained neurologist and MS Specialist, Dr. Alexandra Filippakis and Karissa Mondoux PT, DPT, MBA, of the MS Clinic at Wentworth-Douglass Rehabilitation Services.

Multiple Sclerosis is a lifelong condition impacting the brain and spinal cord. Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Services offers specialized MS care through the MS Clinic led by Dr. Filippakis. Through a multidisciplinary team-based approach, and collaboration with Mass General Brigham, the Coastal Neurology Clinic provides comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on managing disease activity, providing symptomatic relief, maximizing function, and promoting general wellness.  The MS Clinic also provides access to a specialized MS Rehabilitation Services (occupational, physical, and speech therapy) team that focuses on personalized care to treat a wide range of MS symptoms.
