Steve Cortes, president of the League of American Workers, said in an interview that America First represents safety, family, and prosperity while the left promotes destructive activism.
“America First patriots want safe streets, strong families, and real prosperity,” said Cortes. “The left wants mobs singing death anthems in public squares. That contrast tells you everything about the stakes of 2024 and beyond.”
A viral protest clip circulated by Libs of TikTok showed activists chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” in Farsi. According to Fox News, this sparked widespread condemnation and intensified debate about left-wing rhetoric and public safety. Additional reporting noted that Chicago demonstrators cheered Iran’s strike on Israel, with some organizers tied to state-controlled or Hezbollah-linked media outlets.
Ahead of the 2024 elections, Pew Research Center found that 81% of registered voters ranked the economy as their top concern. This was followed by inflation, health care, immigration, gun policy, and violent crime. Public safety and family stability also polled as very important issues shaping campaign strategies across both parties. These findings illustrate voters’ focus on core economic and security issues.
Crime trends in progressive-led cities have been mixed but showed improvement by 2024. The Council on Criminal Justice reported a 16% drop in homicides across 29 major cities compared to 2023. There were also declines in burglary and larceny since 2019, though carjackings remained elevated. These figures highlight nuanced public safety outcomes in urban areas.
