RELYCO Announces New Charitable Giving Initiative

RELYCO, the Dover-based supplier of print materials, recently announced that 1% of all of their online sales will now be donated to charitable causes. This exciting initiative began in July 2022. Donations will be made quarterly to Seacoast non-profit organizations, which have been selected by RELYCO’s employee-run Community Service Team.

According to Bruce Steinberg, CEO of RELYCO, “We are a company with a long history of giving back to our community. When my father founded RELYCO in 1989, he made charitable giving a key tenet of the company because it was something that was important to him personally. We’ve carried that mission forward for years with various programs, and now we’ve decided it’s time to build on that by introducing a formal commitment to quarterly donations. Inviting our employees to nominate the recipient local non-profits is just another part of our vision to be an inclusive and caring employer, doing business for good.”

RELYCO is thrilled to announce that the first recipient of this 1% initiative will be Mary’s Dogs – Rescue & Adoption, located in Northwood, New Hampshire. Mary’s Dogs was established in 2011 and became a non-profit organization in 2016. With the help of rescue partners in the south, Mary’s Dogs rescues approximately 500 dogs annually from kill shelters. The dogs receive supportive and medical care at their New Hampshire facility before being rehomed in New England. Mary’s Dogs also serves as a resource to pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership.

“We’re a little bit unique in that 100% of donations go to the dogs and dog-related needs, like toys, treats and medical care,” notes Jessica Winiarski, Mary’s Dogs Foster/Volunteer Coordinator. “We are fortunate to have our operating expenses covered by adoption fees, so the entire RELYCO donation will go straight to the dogs.”

With the majority of RELYCO employees identifying as animal lovers, Mary’s Dogs is an ideal fit as the inaugural donation recipient. RELYCO’s donation will be made at the conclusion of Q3, which runs from July 1 – September 30. The final amount donated to Mary’s Dogs will be posted on RELYCO’s community support page at www.relyco.com/about-us/community-support/ in October.
