Portsmouth ˗˗ Local affordable housing organization is excited to announce two newly appointed members to the Board of Directors. Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity (SENH Habitat) is pleased to welcome Ms. Joyce Holland and Mrs. Mallory Frizzell- Masse to the nonprofit. Both are active members of the 8th Annual “Building Hope” Garden Party fundraising committee and have officially began serving their terms.
The “Building Hope” Garden Party is one of SENH Habitat’s major fundraising events held annually at the historic Moffatt-Ladd House & Gardens in downtown Portsmouth, NH. This year’s event is being held on Thursday, June 15th from 5:00PM-7:30PM and will feature delectable food, live music, a tour of the gardens, Silent and Live Auctions, raffle prizes, and inspiring stories from SENH Habitat’s newest partner, the Galloway Family. All of the proceeds raised will be utilized for the Galloway Veteran Family build in Farmington, NH.
SENH Habitat is thrilled to have Holland and Frizzell- Masse joining the nonprofit at a pivotal moment of strategic planning and organizational growth. “I have a great appreciation for SENH Habitat’s mission and a strong desire to help improve poverty in our communities and support families with home ownership opportunities they otherwise may not have had without Habitat for Humanity,” shared Frizzell- Masse.
Since 2016, Frizzell- Masse has been working diligently as a Human Resource Specialist and coordinates leave of absence benefits for a large insurance company. She loves that her job is centered on helping people to navigate through very personal and difficult life events. Frizzell- Masse works part-time as a real estate agent in the greater seacoast region and is passionate about family, helping those in need (being an ultimate resource), New England’s history, and historical landmarks.
“Joyce, returning to our board after a hiatus, shows her dedication to affordable housing and we could not be happier to have her along with her institutional knowledge,” shared Marcie Bergan, Executive Director. “I am equally as excited to have Mallory join our board with her professional, fresh and young ideas.”
Holland brings over twenty years of experience in the banking industry and previously served as SENH Habitat’s Board President from 2019-2021. Holland is the First Vice President, Associate Director of Credit Administration at Cambridge Trust where she has been for several years, joining them from Optima Bank & Trust.
“Being a parent, I know the importance of providing a safe and stable home for my children, shared Holland. “For many people, home ownership may seem like an uphill battle and I’m happy to be part of SENH Habitat, an Organization that works with families to help them reach that important milestone.”
