Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on August 16.
Portsmouth, NH – Northeast Credit Union, together with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Portland Sea Dogs, is pleased to announce the 2021 Fourth Annual Nice Catch honorees as part of its Celebrating Kind Kids initiative. Northeast CU established the Nice Catch initiative to recognize New Hampshire and Maine kids who consistently demonstrate compassion, empathy and kindness to make our communities kinder and happier places to live, grow and learn.
“The stories we received for these nominations are truly inspiring! It gives us great hope to read so many heartwarming chronicles of our young members as they share kindness and compassion towards others” stated Northeast Credit Union’s Chief Retail Officer, Andrea Pruna. “As part of the credit union philosophy, Northeast’s Love Your Community Project’s purpose is to support and celebrate people helping people and all of our Nice Catch nominees are shining examples of just that!”
Northeast CU Nice Catch initiative received over 100 outstanding nominations from New Hampshire and Maine; twelve (12) finalists were celebrated with a VIP baseball experience at a Portland Sea Dogs or New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game where, with friends and family, they threw out the ceremonial first pitch. In addition to this recognition, their kindness story was shared on each team’s Jumbotron, through social media and received a special gift bag from the baseball team and Northeast Credit Union.
