Barrington Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
Ron Trexler, master gardener, from the UNH Cooperative Extension will be giving a Zoom presentation on putting your garden to bed.
During this presentation attendees will learn the steps necessary to properly prepare their gardens for winter, including: finishing off annuals and vegetable beds, prepping perennial beds to provide plants the best opportunity to emerge healthy and vigorous in the Spring and reduce the impact of potential pests and disease, overwintering non-hardy plants, readying ornamental shrubs and evergreens to survive various winter conditions, tending to tools and supplies, and much more!
Bio: Ron Trexler lives in Manchester and is an Advanced Master Gardener volunteer with the NH Cooperative Extension. In that role he serves both as a mentor to aspiring Speaker’s Bureau presenters and as an assistant to the Master Gardener Training Program. He is President of the Hooksett Garden Club and serves on the Executive Board of the NH Federation of Garden Clubs as Assistant Treasurer.
