Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on October 26.
Dover, NH – The Woodman Museum is proud to announce their annual Veterans Day ceremony, to be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 12pm-4pm.
Reenactors of various wars, from the Revolutionary War to modern conflicts, will gather at the Woodman to honor our nation’s veterans and those military men and women still engaged in active service across the world. Hosted annually, the event, attracts area veterans and their families, and the general public and will feature - live cannon firing, antique military vehicles and memorabilia, and reenactors in full battle dress. All branches of the service will be represented. Reenactors and enthusiasts will be on hand to answer any questions about the history of America’s wartime involvement. The Piscataqua Rangers will perform drum & fife music.
The Veterans Day event at the Woodman will also feature a guest speaker Vietnam War Veteran Ron Cole who will deliver a keynote speech, and Local Artist Amanda Dane will sing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful and Boston area professional Trumpet Player Jay Daly who will perform TAPS.
The event runs from 12pm-4pm and will be held on the grounds of the Woodman Museum (182 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820). Veterans, currently deployed Military and their families, and Gold Star families receive free admission.
Tickets are only available at the Museum in person or at the event. General admission is regular Museum Admission prices Adults $13, Seniors $10, Students, $9, (Children under 12) $7. This event also includes Woodman Museum tours.
