Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce will present the annual Holiday Parade on Sunday, December 5, 2021 beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The theme of this year's parade will be "A Comic Book Christmas" and entries are invited to decorate their floats with the theme. Rochester's Holiday Parade is held each year to kick-off the holiday season in Rochester. Rochester boasts one of the most spectacular parades. From marching units, youth, organization and commercial floats, VIPs, color guard and marching units, equestrians and marching bands.
All business, non-profit and community organizations are invited to be part of the Holiday Parade. There is no fee to have an entry in the parade. The Holiday Events Committee requires a description of the entry. The more information that is provided helps the commentators when narrating the entries that is taped and broadcast on Rochester's Community Channel 12, courtesy of Atlantic Broadband. A link to the parade video can also be found on the Chamber website throughout the holiday season. The Holiday Events Committee reserves the right to not allow entries that are deemed inappropriate.
Floats that are prepared in the line up by 1:30 pm will be judged in three divisions of youth, organization and commercial with each division awarded a first, second and third place trophy and a "Best of Parade" trophy will be awarded.

Rochester’s Holiday Parade will begin on Wakefield Street by the triangle at the entrance to the Spaulding High School, continue south on Wakefield Street, turn right onto Union Street, turn left on North Main Street through downtown Rochester and end on South Main Street by the Rochester Commons. A number of roads on and adjacent to this route will be closed between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.
