Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 15.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has been awarded seven 2022 Women’s Choice Awards, including a national rank of 19th among 1,056 hospitals in patient satisfaction.
Wentworth-Douglass was honored among “America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Satisfaction” and garnered additional awards for cancer care, minimally invasive surgery, obstetrics, stroke care, and orthopedics. The hospital’s Breast Health Center in Portsmouth and Women's Life Imaging in Somersworth were both honored for their mammogram centers as well.
Among the findings of the group, 85% of patients reported they would “definitely recommend” Wentworth-Douglass. The Hospital was also ranked within the top 4% in all the categories in which it was honored, including in the top 1% of 4,728 hospitals in cancer care.
The Women’s Choice Awards distributes fifteen healthcare awards and is the only national list focused on female patients. Only the top 10% of hospitals in the U.S. earn the award, which is based solely on data obtained from multiple regulatory organizations and the most recent publicly available information from the Center for Medicaid Services (CMS). The awards’ methodology utilizes surveys of tens of thousands of women, as well as research conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of Business.
