April 8, 9, and 22 for a ‘50s rock & Roll dance. Best '50s costume wins a $20 cash prize!! Sunday April10th our first Family Karaoke and dance from 2-4 any age welcome. There is no charge for this event. The Strand has partnered with Darleen Griffith from Seacoast Karaoke and DJ Services to give families a place to sing and dance.
Friday April 15th Elton John Tribute: Bill Connors has perfected the art of portraying Sir Elton John. Every mannerism, voice inflection, and nuance has been carefully studied and recreated. Bill also has what can’t be learned by impersonators: an uncanny resemblance to Captain Fantastic as well as the costumes and fabulous showmanship. Appears for the Las Vegas Show Legends in Concert. Saturday April 16th Comedy Night: Need a few hours of laughter? Don't fight the Boston Traffic! The Strand and Rob Steen from Rent A Comic, have partnered to bring some of Boston's Best comedians to Dover! A great way to relieve stress is laughter. Come on to the Strand, with friends and a room of strangers laughing.
Tuesday April 19th Business After Hour Networking : Join the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and host, The Strand for an evening of networking on April 19th, from 5 till 7. See the beautiful 1919 architecture of the downtown performing arts and entertainment center. Tour the projection room and see the 1900's silent movie projector. All are welcome to attend this free event. Bring your business cards for a raffle. ActivePure donated an Air Purification system valued at about $1500 as a prize. Must be present to win.

Friday May 13th Comedy night with Jimmy JJ Walker: Walker was named Time Magazine's "Comedian Of The Decade" for the 1970s. He has appeared on television shows after the Good Times run, such as The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Everybody Hates Chris, and Scrubs.
