This week, the City Clerk mailed notices to about 1,500 “voting households” to inform them they are now a part of a different ward than they were before.
On Feb. 9, 2022, the City Council adopted new ward boundaries through an ordinance change to ensure near equal representation in Dover’s six political wards based on 2020 Census Data. This ward redistricting affected about 1,500 voting households in Dover. Voters in new wards will also vote at different polling locations than their previous ward.
Residents may check which ward they live in through an interactive Ward Map located on the City of Dover’s Election Information webpage.
