City Council Approves Technical Correction To Fy2023 Budget

20

The Dover City Council voted 8 to 1 at its May 11 meeting to approve a technical correction to the FY2023 budget the Council adopted last week.

City Manager J. Michael Joyal, Jr. told the Council that he made a calculation error during the Council’s special meeting to adopt the budget on May 4 when the Council approved a bottom line budget number of $180,064,718 across all funds. That amount was $8,600 more than the actual amount, Joyal said. The technical correction approved by the Council on May 11 brings the bottom line budget number to $180,056,118.

Joyal told the Council the changes do not affect the budget, tax impact or the estimated tax rate.

Recordings of all budget-related workshops and meetings and all budget-related documents are available on the FY2023 Budget Revealed webpage.
