3,700 mile trek for affordable housing begins June 12

New Castle, NH – Bike & Build returns to NH to kick-off their 2022 season! 21 cyclists from Bike & Build, will dip their back tires in the Atlantic Ocean and have their bikes blessed by our very own Pastor Kent at the New Castle Commons on Sunday morning the 12th at 8:30am. After a two year hiatus due to COVID these amazing young athletes and philanthropists are ready for this journey. Their mission - affordable housing! They will ride across the country, raising money for the cause. They will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity affiliates along the way and building houses as they go. Their trek will end in Bellingham, Washington where they will dip their front tires in the Pacific Ocean when they arrive.

“On Saturday the 11th these young adults will assist SENH Habitat for Humanity in finalizing the almost complete home on Lincoln Road in Middleton NH,” said Marcie Bergan, Executive Director of Southeast New Hampshire Habitat. ”They are lending their skills and philanthropic energy to help us meet our mission. This has long been a tradition for us and we are so happy to have them here with us in New Hampshire. Feel free to come out and meet them at either the build site on Saturday or the Blessing on Sunday. We often talk about the big picture – well this is one way our newest generation of philanthropists get it done!”
