Submit all Gingerbread houses by Wednesday, December 7 for voting December 8-13. You will need to fill out a submission form when you drop it off which will include the names and ages of participants and the gingerbread house’s name – please do not include your family’s name within the title as this is a blind-vote competition.
All Barrington residents are welcome to submit their own gingerbread house creation or use the kit registered for and provided by the Library. The base of the house needs to fit in a 12” X 12” space and all decorations must be edible!
Prizes awarded in two categories:
• Children (17 and younger) – it is okay if adults supervise and/or minimally assist.
• Adults (ages 18 and older) – single, in a pair or more.
Voting will take place December 8 - 13 in the Library. Please only vote once for each age group. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 19 and prizes will be awarded. Participants can come by to pick up their gingerbread houses beginning Tuesday, December 20 – they will be great decorations at home!
Note: any house still at the Library by December 23 will be disposed of.
