At their December meeting, the Dover Adult Learning Center Board of Directors took a cash collection of $300 and selected two local non-profits to donate to.
$200 was donated to the Triangle Club of Dover and $100 (a single donation from Rollie Janetos) went to the Dover Children’s Home. As this is an annual tradition, every December the DALC board takes submissions of potential recipients, and discusses the work they do and how it relates to adult education and literacy. This effort provides an opportunity to reflect on the value of partnership and fosters a spirit of giving throughout the nonprofit world.
Dover Adult Learning Center of Strafford County helps all adults who seek to learn, enhance their skills and improve their lives through education, job preparation, high school completion, and enrichment classes. The staff at DALC helps students become more effective lifelong learners, family members, workers, and citizens. Learn more at www.doveradultlearning.org.
