Twenty-One Senses has received a $4,200 grant from the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation to support historical accuracy of their financial ledger and ensure proper maintenance and accuracy moving forward.

Twenty-One Senses is a non profit organization that is advancing inclusion for children - and all individuals - with invisible disabilities.  Through awareness, education, and support, we are changing the narrative in our community regarding neurodiversity and sensory regulation.  Ultimately creating a culture of improved social-emotional learning and improved mental health for our entire community.

The Bangor Saving Bank Foundation community grant will be used to contract a bookkeeper to review past years general ledger, establish technical integration with QuickBooks and Twenty-One Senses technical infrastructure, enhance financial training, and improve crucial documentation procedures necessary for a young nonprofit moving forward.

“We are so excited to have the support of Bangor Savings Bank Foundation,” said Danielle Heaton, Director of Programs & Operations.  “This support allows us to address the behind the scenes efforts, so we can continue to focus on making our communities more inclusive for the 1-in-6 children struggling with invisible differences.”

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation works to contribute to the strength and health of communities they serve. The Foundation focuses on philanthropic efforts that make their communities more prosperous, more livable, and more vibrant.
