The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension has announced a series of monthly webinars for 2026 aimed at professionals in the greenhouse, nursery, and garden center industries. The sessions are designed to provide practical training on plant production and management. All webinars will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams, with each session costing $10 and scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Participants can register for individual webinars or multiple sessions throughout the year. One New England pesticide applicator recertification credit is being sought for each event.
Topics covered include fertilizer basics, sanitation practices, pest management, weed control, disease prevention, growth regulation techniques, and pesticide label comprehension. Speakers feature field specialists from UNH Extension as well as industry experts from other institutions.
Jonathan Ebba, Field Specialist at UNH Extension, will lead several sessions on subjects such as fertilizer selection and use, sanitation in greenhouses, two-spotted mite management, growth regulation methods (both chemical and non-chemical), root rot diagnosis and control strategies, and understanding pesticide labels. Additional presentations will be delivered by Professor Joseph C. Neal of North Carolina State University on weed management; Dr. Amber Vinchesi-Vahl of UNH Extension on broad mites and cyclamen mites; Dr. Liza DeGenring of UNH Extension on Botrytis (Gray Mold); and Sam Drahn from OHP on proper application of plant growth regulators.
