STRAFFORD SQUARE/NORTH MAIN STREET

UTILITY RELOCATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Traffic Delays for Construction

Construction to start July 2021

and continue through May 2022

The Strafford Square Utility Relocation Project is underway.  The Utility Relocation Project is to be performed in advance of the actual Roundabout project scheduled for 2022.   The project includes moving the aerial utilities underground and excavating for water, sewer, and drainage improvements. There will be significant traffic impacts during this construction.  The work for this phase began the week of July 26, 2021, and will continue through May of 2022. The next phase to construct the round-a-bout is planned for the Summer of 2022.

The DPW has worked with SUR Construction to develop an extensive traffic management plan that will be changing daily as the area of excavation changes.

Click here to see the plan.  It is strongly encouraged that travelers seek alternate routes during this project.

Please call the Rochester DPW if you have questions or concerns 332-4096
