Step back in time to July 1775, and experience a New Hampshire household preparing for war with the British at The Coming Storm, a living history event at the Colonel Paul Wentworth House on Saturday, July 16.
From 10 am to 4 pm, historical re-enactors in 18th century attire will portray members of the Wentworth family and their neighbors as they go about domestic chores such as hearth cooking, sewing, gardening, and child care; share the latest news of the fighting; and gather supplies for the troops around Boston at this living history event.
Tours of the circa 1701 Wentworth House, including a new exhibit of New England spinning wheels, will also be available.
The Wentworth House is located on Water Street in Rollinsford, and is maintained by the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH) as an educational and cultural center.
