Sample Ballots, Polling Locations For State Primary Available On City's 2022 State Primary Webpage

The state primary election will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022. Polling hours in Dover will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The election will determine political party nominees for the general election to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. There are two separate ballots in the Sept. 13 primary election: One for registered Republicans, and one for registered Democrats.

Voters who are undeclared, and who wish to vote, can declare a party on the day of the primary and will receive that party's ballot. Voters can change party status back to undeclared by signing a form at the polls, following the vote.

The City of Dover's 2022 State Primary Election webpage has sample ballots for the Republican and Democratic primaries for each of Dover's six wards. The page also has the polling locations for each ward. Please note, some polling locations have changed since the last election.

What ward do I live in?

Dover's election pages also have an interactive map showing which ward a residence is in. For some, the ward they live in has changed since the last election, as the City Council approved ward redistricting earlier this year based on the 2020 Census results.
