The City of Dover held an informational workshop to discuss the creation of a stormwater and flood resiliency utility on May 23. At the workshop, a "story map" was released to help residents better understand how a stormwater utility might work and how it might affect them.

The story map provides a brief history of how the city came to begin developing a stormwater and flood resiliency utility, which is currently underway. The story map also defines what stormwater is, its importance, and how impervious cover can lead to stormwater runoff and can damage the region’s water resources. It highlights increasing regulations, aging infrastructure, flood vulnerabilities, and funding needs and options. Lastly, it provides a place for the public to submit comments, opinions, and suggestions.
